UPCOMING SHOWS

Piccolo Spoleto Festival 2026

Collective SC is honored to be featured in two Piccolo Spoleto Festival events on May 23rd and May 30th. Collective SC will present Short Fuse, an exploration of the fragile line between calm and chaos. Like an electrical fuse, it holds energy until overloaded, stopping the flow and unleashing a sudden blow. Brief moments of quiet ignite into inevitable eruptions. Choreographed by Lacey Bates and Izzy Byers, Short Fuse features excerpts from BREAK alongside new works in progress.

PAST SHOWS

Fragments Flyer.png

On Sunday, February 15th, 2026, Collective SC and NousPointe presented Fragments.

Fragments was a sold out evening of dance featuring three Charleston-based companies—Collective SC, NousPointe, and Impermanent Gallery. The choreography explored fractured stories and shifting pieces, revealing the hidden textures of human experience.

As part of Fragments, Collective SC presented an expanded version of Break, a contemporary work that premiered in its first iteration at the 2025 Piccolo Spoleto Festival. Break journeys into the shadowed spaces of grief, trauma, and mental illness, uncovering the demons we carry and the labor of piecing ourselves back together.

This project was funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts. This project was also funded in part by a generous award from the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of The Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina.

REDEFINED (Instagram Post).png

On Saturday, February 22, 2025, Collective SC and NousPointe presented REDEFINED, an evening of dance inspired by local artist Chloe Hogan’s series Between Two Worlds.

REDEFINED premiered to a sold out audience at the Cannon Street Arts Center. The evening featured choreography by Erika Keller, Artistic Director of NousPointe; Lacey Bates, Artistic Director of Collective SC and Collective SC members Grace Lewis and Izzy Byers. Before the show, patrons viewed Hogan’s series Between Two Worlds which explores timeless tales of heroines embarking on transformative journeys—down rabbit holes, through shadowed woods, or along golden paths—to uncover truths within themselves. The choreography reflected these narratives, weaving a vivid tapestry of personal transformation and the emotional highs and lows of embracing change. With vibrant, high-energy movement, REDEFINED took the audience on its own journey “down the yellow brick road,” bringing Hogan’s enchanting artwork to life on stage

This project was funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
